Health questions:What does testosterone therapy do to a woman's body?

Let's say your testosterone level is normal and you're female but your body produces NO estrogen on its own. You have no Sex drive, and your petuitary gland is messed up. What would happen when your doctor decides to put you on testosterone? What should you expect?

I think that you might expect an increase in the rate of body hair growth, perhaps a slighly increased Sex drive and possibly a deepening of your voice - those are all educated guesses.

What I would like to know is why a doc would prescribe testosterone if your levels are fine? Is it just to increase your Sex drive?
