Athletes have an ability to train for upto 4 hours a day, ususally 2 in the morning and another 2 in the afternoon. The reason that they don't overtrain, is because they are on a number of supporting supplements, and often train very cleverly, so they don't break down the same muscle over the day, but train a group more lightly.
Your body will become more tolerant, but overtraining won't provide you with the best results. It can also cause insomnia because of a elevated heart rate which is associated with Anxiety.
Fatigue,... tired in the morning, unusually much more tired than normal for yourself. Adrenals glands are fatigued..
Proper rest, Diet and nutrition are essential.
Sleep 8-10 hours. consume apple or oatmeal for complex carbs before workout and whey protein too.
Vitamin C, Chromium Picolinate and the BCAA 's are essential for fighting off cortisol/stress/catabolism/overtraining
after a workout... don't mess around missing the window of opportunity to refuel.. you gotta take in whey protein and some simple carbs etc... , casein protein at bedtime.... don't exercise for over an hour ... and don't do more than 5-6 days a week
Athletes train like that from years of working up to it. I imagine it takes years to be able to work out for 8 hrs a day. I know they do a lot of stuff like sit in tubs of ice after hard work outs. It is not like you see on TV where they just go into the locker room, looking all great, take a quick shower and are off to dinner.
In order for your muscles to become bigger and stronger they must have time to heal. When your muscles feel sore a day after working out, it is good to a point. If the pain is significant, it is time to take a break and ice it. The fibers are often broken while working out and they need time to rebuild. Rebuilding is how you get those bigger and stronger muscles. So...if you don't let them heal, you will not see results.
I am in a lot of pain right now from over working myself and FORCING myself to take a break. It sucks but you have to.
Look, you're aSking a bunch of lard-asses who sit about all day in front of computers eating Doritos and pork pies...
If you overtrain, you will make less progress and be more prone to injuries. Athletes have trainers who monitor everything they are doing. They have nutritionists who make sure they eat optimally, and they make sure they take enough rest.
