Yes.
We can't always rely on the goodwill of some doctors to illegally put us out of our misery.
When life becomes unbearable because of a painful and terminal disease we all have the right to choose to prolong it or to stop it; and that's entirely up to the individual not to the state.
Religion has been, for obvious reasons, the main opposition to euthanasia, but I hope it will soon change.

Um, I think so. I personally believe that a person does not die until God calls them. But I also believe in free will and choice. Is it wrong to kill yourself or have someone do it for you. In my humble opinion yes. The problem with a sanctioned euthanasia clinic is that if there were not clear guidelines set forth that anyone having a bad week would be lined up at the front door. Would I ever go to one? No. I figure Jesus suffered enough to die for the screwups I have done, that the least I can do is die the way God has planned for me. In pain or otherwise.

Yes! There is too many people living in pain. A state sanctioned clinic should have criteria, such as specific illnesses and (know this sounds harsh, but it is a reality) ability to pay for treatment.
Those that accept their illness, should be able to decide between the fight for life, or dignified death without pain.

Do you really want the government to decide when & how you & your loved ones die? Do you really want some politician to decide what the parameters are that establish what a sanctioned illness is & isn't? What about lobbying insurance companies? We all know how much pull they have. All they look at is risk. So what happens when they look at your child & see that he has Asthma, a hole in his heart, and epilepsy? Boy, that child is going to cost that insurance a lot of money over his life time. Let's establish some guidelines to euthanize these medically complex children. And, lets not even get into prenatal testing & forced abortion. Sanctioned euthanasia clinics just like everything else that is govt regulated have a habit of snowballing.
