Health questions:Really BAD swelling on hubbys body parts... Help Please?

Any one knows why my husband my be swelling certain body parts swell up @ different times... Like last week his foot was so huge he could hardly put on his boot... Then his hand was so big he couldnt make a fist now his lip is about to bust it is so huge... Any advice is helpful, thanks in advance...
***Also he said that it itches really bad right before it starts to swell.***

It really sounds like an allergic reaction, but it doesn't follow the typical signs and symptoms because the swelling comes out in different places on the body. He could have a latex allergy--that could explain it. How long has this gone on? And VERY importantly, when this happens does he have any shortness of breath at all? He needs to see an allergist and have the allergy testing done. You also need to keep liquid benadryl in your household--it's the red liquid designed for children. I say this because liquid will absorb more rapidly in the stomach than the pill form. When these reactions happen you need to administer 25-50mg of the liquid. First give him 25 mg, then if no improvement give another 25 mg but no more. If he were to get any worse at all, call 911 because he would at that point require Epinephrine. I'm not trying to scare you, I'm just giving you the facts if this is a true allergic reaction. Regardless, it needs to be addressed by a doctor. Hope this helps!

this sounds really serius and should be taken to the docter if not avaladle in the next four days get to the emergancy hospital he could havea a really bad reaction to something believe me i wach the medical show all the time and this doesnt sound good best to get it checked out asap

Does he have a dr. he can see?...I would agree with the last ans..My mother had swelling issue from taking aspirin...But best to have him checked...do you know the circumstances when it happens? .
