Health questions:Puberty:Breasts?

I have started puberty and whenever I even touch my breasts they really hurt. I do have my period now but they hurt like that even before I got my period. I am so scared that something is wrong! Is it possible that I have brest Cancer? I am not even 16 yet. Another thing is that they dont hurt all of the time. Most of the time though. I cant really feel any lumps or anything. Is anything wrong with me or is this normal?

TOTALLY NORMAL. Breast development and getting your period happen independently of one another. Nothing is wrong, don't worry. You don't have breast Cancer, breasts just hurt sometimes when they're developing. The pain can come and go. Just a normal part of puberty. Try taking some tylenol or ibuprofen to help with pain and inflammation. If it's still bothering you a lot, check with your doctor. He/she may recommend something stronger to help. I have some friends that use birth control to lessen hormonal symptoms like cramps and breast tenderness. That might be an option for you. It helped me a lot. I started taking birth control when I was your age, and it made a huge difference.

yea that happened to me when i was your age...i even went to the doctor because i thought i had something wrong with me. It kinda feels like baalls in your boobs right? yeah and they hurt realy bad whenever you hit into them...it lasted for about 2 years for me...so if it lasts long for you dont worry about it:)

Yes, this is totally normal. The tissue in your breasts is just forming (this is called budding) and so it's gonna hurt for a while. I've had the same thing, but they don't hurt as much now. I'm 14 and they've been developing for about two years. You should be able to feel kinda like balls just under your nipples, this is the main part of the tissue.. They're probably only gonna hurt when you bang into something or put pressure on them, but don't worry, you're completely normal. Hope this helps xo

Sure it's normal... i don't realy remember anything about my breast... the only pain i felt was wearing my frist bra! lol
