If you were stuck with out any water, could you drink your urine to prolong your life, and fend off dehydration?

Yes, but it has to be fresh.
Fresh urine contains no bacteria. It is actually an antiseptic.....in ancient times, fresh urine was poured on open wounds to prevent infection.
You would have to be able to deal with it though...the concept, flavor, etc. Some people are squeemish.

yea u can drink it but it does have to be fresh tho, because once you let it sit tha acids build up and get stronger and cause bacteria and you'd die from a swolen toung or a closed throught or even just basically poisening yourself but be mindful not to waste any because you are going to peeing out the same urine for a long period of time because you are actually putting back all the baterica that your body is trying to get ride of. So basically you will be drinking it over and over again.

well, instead of drinking it like that, if you were in a place like a desert, you could put it in a large bottle, lay the bottle flat, and that way the water evaporates to the top, while the other stuff gets left on the bottom.

Very scientific question, however, they've done it -I think in the porn industry already, not for de-hydration problems though, but for the sake of fetish hardcore actions! Drinking urine is OK so they say provided it is the early morning wee and drunk fresh it should be fine. As for dirnking my own I guess if I was in a situation similar to what you mention then yes I might consider it

All body fluids are supposed are supposed to be sterile ,They are all ok. But as kidney excretes some waste products through the urine it is not a good substance to drink, But as It contains lots of water and faced with dehydration it is good drink before you get water.
