I'm 12, 5'4, and 170 lbs. I have a medium sized frame, but I have a HUGE gut! Please help me!

At 12 you really should see a doctor first to rule out any other possible sources of the weight gain like a thyroid or diabetic problem. Once that is done you should focus on eating healthy. Fruits and veggies, whole grains, complex carbs and cut the soda. Period. Even Diet soda is still bad for you. If plain water isn't your thing they do have those low calorie water-flavoring packets *which are awesome*. Don't go overboard on the workouts try maybe just half an hour a day speed walking and after a few weeks up it to a jog and increase your distance every couple of weeks. Eventually your stamina will increase and working out wont be so bad. To help get rid of the pooch :D Try doing 50-75 crunches a day. But at your age the biggest thing is going to be eating healthy.

replace any bad and fatty Food with healthy Food... ex: green tea instead of soda...

Keep a Diet!
Monday-Mashed Potatoes and Cheese
Tuesday-Cheese and mashed potatoes
Wednesday-Meat and tomatoes
Thursday-Fruits all the day
Friday-mashed potatoes with parsley

I know it seems a bit disgusting but it really works because in my case it did!!

you could possibly eat half of your 3-meals breakfast,lunch,and dinner and go out to exercise,or you could eat all your 3-meals breakfast,lunch,and dinner and exercise even more!try it!

pls have parent take you to Dr. you are too young for most "Diets" ..... while you may have some fat to lose it is important to remember that your body is still growing and developing so please have a Dr recommend your nutritional needs ....... having said that you can always run or run walk do some other cardio type exercises if you are healthy.... as the key to weight reduction is to ingest fewer calories then you use each day ..... good luck !
