For some people yes, the majority not so much, and some people not at all. I have a relative who makes plans for people in the family, dictates situations to the family, takes pride in always being right( or thinking he's always right). It seems to be in his nature to try to control people and see his plans come through, and dictate the world to others. Most people are not like that. I didn't think so until I met my mother-in-law. But I realize that if you think about it, there are other ways of trying to control people - such as quiet manipulative ways that I may have used on my own husband without realizing it. Or as a parent maybe I was too controlling over my children. It isn't something you really think about in terms of yourself usually - you don't like to think that you might be a controlling person, especially if you are a quiet person. So you need to think longer before answering!
