Health questions:Ciprolax or Cipralax (SSRI) and Dizziness Effects I've been having lately...?

I've been on this SSRI since June and it hasn't worked for me all that well. Based on that, I've been pretty bad with remembering to take them lately.

That being said, I've been experiencing this dizziness/disorientation lately. I'm not sure if this is in relation to my sporadic taking of my pills or if this could be something completely different.

Anyone have any words of wisdom (besides taking my pills...I think I know I should be a bit more diligent on doing that...)....has anyone else experienced this dizziness?

It's definitely from not taking your pills regularly. The same thing happened to me when I was on Cymbalta, except mine was so bad I'd pass out completely out of the blue.

If the medicine isn't working for you, you should get your doctor to change your medicine. Six months is too long to be on something that isn't working for you. Your doctor can ween you off this one gently enough that you won't have the side effects =]. Everyone's body chemistry is different, responding to different pills, so don't give up on medication yet! You probably just haven't found the right meds yet =].

My b/f is on Cipralex.. One thing we noticed is that if he doesn't take his meds regularly he feels lightheaded and disoriented. This is the trigger that reminds him he's forgotten...

Your doctor prescribed this medication for a reason. It will not be effective if you don't take it as prescribed. Why would you mess around with your mental health this way?

One of the side effects of an ssri is the possibility of low blood pressure. If you have this condition and have been sporadic in the taking of your medications, when you get out of bed to fast, turn to fast when walking, or just getting up from a chair to fast, your blood has settled in your legs and feet. This means your head is low on blood and dizziness sets in. This can last for several seconds to several minutes. First start taking your drugs regularly and if the dizziness continues then talk to your doctor about it.
